Minimum PC specification
To run the Betfair software BetGizmo a 1GHz PIII class CPU PC or higher is recommended, with 512MB of RAM or more. The application is also developed around a 1280 x 1024 size display, other display resolutions can be used but may distort the BetGizmo layout.
Preferred additional hardware
It is also recommended that you use a mouse with a scroll wheel function, as the scroll wheel is used on the Betfair trading ladder.
Internet Connection
Since all transactions with Betfair are performed over the internet, a reliable connection is essential.
Software requirements
Your machine must be running Windows 2000, or higher.
You must have the Microsoft .NET 2.0 runtime installed on your PC before installing BetGizmo. If it is not installed then BetGizmo will try to fetch it and install it for you. If this fails just follow this link to the Microsoft site and click the "Download" button then follow the instructions.
BetGizmo will not install any high security components so should not require administrator access on your PC. The application was designed this way to enable installations on "locked down" or "limited access" PCs such as those found in internet cafes or at work.
